Engkok Su Liao!

Decided to post this since Low Tech Ju called me at 6.30pm saying that he just heard the news. It is a terrible game with very limited flashes of brillance from Beckham and Crouch.
England 2 Croatia 3 in a match that England just needed a draw to qualify.
That's the end of Euro 2008 for Engkok, and I believe for many brothers too.
When Russia unexpectedly lost to Israel on Saturday and threw a qualification lifeline to Engkok, HueyKaey has this to say "Life is unpredictable. Must always have hopes."
When Engkok lost this morning, Huey Kaey said "New Order of soccer world. Stronger stay. Dun feel sad."
OPui also said "Tatt, don't cry."
Aiya, I still have not stopped crying in my heart...

When are we going to build Justine Plaza?

I passed by a building named Wisma TCT at Jalan Segambut. This reminds me of our "Justine Plaza" dream 20 years ago. So are we ready to make first step to realize this?

New Toys for Ham and Tatt

Ham and I decided to give our squash career a new lease of life. We have got ourselves new toy in Prince O3 Tour Squash Racquet. It is signed by Peter Nicol and was used by Nicol David when she won her first British Open in 2005. Really excellent racquet and it made the retrieval of balls expecially the difficult volley so much easier.

One lesson learnt from this is you can get cheaper racquet in Singapore than in KL. Ham said even a car jack costs RN2500 in KL. He is right.

So let's add squash in our next Carnival, in addition to Futsal.

Dream House?

Ah Pek brought Elephant and I to visit under-construction house of his elder sister. Both of us keep wowing when touring the house. The maid's kitchen is definitely bigger than our living hall!
How can you be so rich?
May be the secret of success is to be a King Scout when you are young.

Squash with Nicol David

This was taken a month goal. Shi Rui and I watched the finals of the CIMB Malaysia Squash Open at the Curve. Ham watched it live at the Singapore Open too the following week.

For the record, Nicol and Azlan won the double titles for Malaysia. How we wish Malaysian Badminton can be as good.

Btw, we appeared on TV? Any brothers caught it?

Who is our lucky brother?

Ah Pek revealed that one of our brothers will be getting married soon. Based on my latest status (and hopefully the correct one), those who are still staying as diamond bachelors are
  1. Huey Kaey
  2. Joo Chuan
  3. Pee
  4. Beh
  5. Ham
  6. O Ba

Like Ah Tua, my money is also on Joo Chuan too.

Stay tuned for the latest update - this will be more breaking news than that of Maxis Group CEO stepping down.

To be, or not to be

This is proposed by Tatt and seconded by Tua.
"We propose to make Liverpool Football Club (LFC) as the Official Wo-Men Football Club."
1. The justifications
  • This is the most widely supported football club among brothers
  • Wo-Men is characteristically more consistent with Liverpool FC
  • The club anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone..." epitomized our brotherhood spirit
2. What would happen if LFC is Wo-Men's official football club?
  • All brothers would need to support Liverpool FC at the official wo-men's football viewing gatherings
  • All brothers would need to sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" in karaoke and before going to sleep
  • Future wo-men merchandise will carry LFC logo, if we manage to acquire the rights
  • No restrictions on betting - OPui & Turkey can still allow to bet against Liverpool. However brothers would require to obtain prior consent from Hui Chang
3. Who are the brothers supporting Liverpool since childhood?
  • Tua
  • Tatt
  • Guang Voon
  • Ju
  • O Kwang
  • Chiang (since he is a ABU - Anything But United)
  • etc???

4. How is the voting process?

  • Start immediately after this is posted
  • Deadline 11.59pm 17 May 2007
  • Brothers can vote via the comment box
  • Brothers can lobby votes by giving opinion for and against
  • Two third majorty is required
  • Money Politic (e.g. promises of development and entertainment fund) is not allowed
  • We have approached KPMG Singapore to audit the results to ensure no phantom votes

Special Posting to Commemorate Tua Ham Reunion

Someone shared this with me. After living in Singapore for 17 years, Ah Ham should know all these. Hence hopefully this is useful for "newcomers" Harris, Marcus, Tristan, Lay Kheng and Tua.
