Wo_Men CNY 2009 - Karaoke & Gambling Session

As our tradition recent years, we gathered at A Pee Bungalow in the 2nd day of CNY for drinking, karaoke & gambling session.

This year, A Pee prepared us a wonderful, 5-Star standard, private karaoke room for all brothers. Free flow of liqueur, sushi, burger, nuts, new year biscuit, tea, etc for all nite long. Due to some un-avoided reasons, he couldn't provide other services that we hope the most. (You may see from the pictures). Instead, he had to act as 公主（key-in song that we selected) and A Boy (Who served us drinks n food) and company us to sing together.

All of us sang all nite long, starting with 姜育恒的跟往事干杯到李宗盛，周华健，张国荣，到近代的周杰伦，李宇春，fully enjoyed the singing session. HowKo, Tatoo, keun wei and Pee sang until 3am before they went back with drying throat.

The 赌神 lao yee, opui, joo chuan, honso tatt, newly elected hui chang huey kaey and later joined by apee started their session at 12midnight with the poker. The lucky hui chang started with tremendously good luck and almost won every hand, however, the luck decrease little bit after this and just before joo chuan finishing his last piece of hundred note, suddenly he like 神助 and swept a few hands. Hui Chang trapped Lao Yee 2 times with a big pool but lost also 2 hands to Opui. Honso Tatt won a few hands but could not turnover the luck that night. The biggest card of the night won by lao yee with four of a kind of Jack. However, he didn't win much that game cos we all already lari kuat kuat.

The final result, 3 of the brothers sat at South-East direction (hui chang, lao yee and apee) won the games and those sat opposite (joo chuan, opui and honso tatt) lost. They are advised to consult master lee before they attend the session next time.

Wo_Men CNY 2009 - The Birth of Wo_Men's OBAMA

Local votes, SMS votes & Phone Votes are all monitored strictly by election committe, consists of O-Pui, Hong So Tatt, & Lau Ee. So far no manipulation is being discovered....

Close fight between the votes, and finally the birth of our 2009 respectfull Hui Chang - Huay Kei ! (Notice any similarity between OBAMA and our new Hui Chang? Find out the answer in Ah Pek coming soon face reading book)

As Obama gave a 12 minutes speech, our Huay Kei manage to produce a 13 minutes speech, (too long to narrate here, those who miss this AGM are likely to miss the most dynamic & energetic speech since JFK)

All of them have their uniqueness & strong hold in leading Wo_Men for the year 2009, I think most brothers are in dilema while voting.
All candidates play the election game gentlemenly, no money politics, no empty promises (yet), no "suan shell" each other, all of them feel the challenge and burden of taking up the 2009 Hui Chang post.

After dinner, we then proceed to the Cititel most luxurious Suite for the Wo_Men most important event, AGM. This time the next Hui-Chang post would be very important as he shall leads us crusing thru our mid-life crisis & world finance tsunami.

Wo_Men CNY 2009 - The Dinner

As for the Wo_Men CNY tradition, we gather for "Lou Shen" and Dinner at 初一. This year we organise the gathering at Cititel Zhong Hua Restaurant. Even though not every brothers turn up, we still have to book in 3 tables, due to growing up of second generations.

Turn up are "Most Contributed" ex-Hui Chang Hong So Tatt & family, Pre-drunked before the dinner Ah Pee, Lau Ee & family, PBK & wife, S.M. Chiang & family, Hou Ko & family, Diamond Bachelor Ah Ham, top bonus earner O-Pui & family, "Hyper-active" Huay Kei & surpricingly, Mr. Birdy; Malaysia rising underwear tycoon .

有巴打真好

有巴打真好，在离乡背井的何志明市，能跟比我们熟络门路的永丰相遇，而且是住在隔壁街。

带我们去吃了一顿非常美味的晚餐，使我们在异乡的到一点温暖。

有巴打真好，回到KL的时候，因为找不到酒店，幸好得到繁忙的林医生拔刀相助，提供了温暖的住宿，使我不用露宿街头，而且还顺便帮我的肚腩把了把脉，画了一个符，叫我烧了参水喝。

你们看，有巴打真好。

08 嘉年华- 室内足球赛

元旦日，我们的同学会又派出了最强的六大汉组成的室内足球队向强大的黑狗队挑战。

我们是清一色是同学会成员，平均年龄39岁6个月。而黑狗队除了黑狗和尚志外，还“吊水”了年轻外援，平均年龄30岁。

球赛一开始，因不曾锻炼，而且场地生疏，让黑狗逮到机会，很快的连续进球，3-0领先。

但我们队发挥了死不认输，从不放弃的巴打精神，在全线努力下，风骚达连进两球，3-2，紧追在后。

黑狗队也不是省油的灯，靠着黑狗的大型身材和年轻球员，反扑两球，5-2，又拉开距离。

我们队沉着应战，展开2-2-1战略，在tatoo把守球门，Opui与老姨殿后，风骚达与Apek控制中场，而单箭头的火鸡突然间球风大起，表演帽子戏法，过关斩将，连射3球，5-5，追平比分。

球赛进入白热化，双方有来有往，Opui发挥其强硬作风，把后防稳固，老姨则出尽奶力，可惜功亏一篑，无功而返。一来一往，Tatoo和Apek也成功处女破门，把比分追到7-7，难分难舍。

眼看球赛就要进入加时，我们队由火鸡把守，让Opui和老姨上去助功。突然，对方一记远射，火鸡奋力接球，但因球力太大，而从手缝中穿过去，进网，8-7。我们队输了。

但纵观整个球赛，我们在精神上胜利了，希望大家再接再厉，今年会更好。

We used to beat many in badminton when we were young..

I managed to take this picture with Eddy Choong at Bellevue, the Penang Hill Hotel. Eddy and I used to win championships when we were young.

Eddy Choong won All England Men's singles title for four times between 1953 to 1957 and Men's doubles title for three times between 1951 to 1953.

For me, I won Wo-Men's singles title once in 1991.

Btw, this hotel is really nice - it is Penang's best kept secret. We can have our gathering there one day. They have 11 hotel rooms and another bungalow with 40 beds. The hotel rate is between RM150 to RM180 and is negotiable. The rate for bungalow is RM800. I also checked with the guys there. The old bungalows that we used to stay - Woodside, Hillside, Fern Hill, etc. are all no longer there. What a pity.

If you have not been to Penang Hill lately, go and spend some time there.
